CBA Christmas programme bags international award

L to R: Grace McArthur, Phil Guyan, Mick Andrews, Daryl Habraken, Sam Donkin and Bjorn Brickell of the Crazy Kiwi Christmas Kids Show team

The Crazy Kiwi Christmas Kids Show, our fun-filled children’s programme produced for CBA’s 12-hour broadcast on Newstalk ZB on Christmas Day, has just snagged a Bronze at the New York Festivals Radio Awards.

As well as being a blast to make, this programme reached a young audience with the heart of the nativity story, so we’re over the moon to have it recognised on a global stage!

This result is a testament to a stellar team of announcers and producers – but also to you, our supporters, whose backing meant we could pour time, energy and resources into making this show as special as it was.

The New York Radio Awards celebrate the best audio programmes from 40 countries across the world, and each year they receive submissions from the likes of the BBC, HarperCollins, Sky News and ABC News. So, for this tiny charitable trust in Penrose, Auckland to compete with some of the giants of global media is astonishing.

Wins like this give CBA’s reputation a huge boost in the media industry. It builds trust in what we do, opening up more doors to share the heart of the Christian message with a wider audience.

Thank you for championing our work. Your generosity enables us to bless tens of thousands of people every week.
