Shaping the future of New Zealand’s media

We’re excited to announce Caitlin Dufty, Isaac Paul and Makayla Wells as our CBA Scholarship winners for 2023.

This talented trio were the top candidates from an impressive pool of applicants.

Caitlin, Isaac and Makayla have each been awarded $4,000 to help them pursue a career in media, and Isaac has also won the CBA Hillman Award, given to an outstanding applicant with an interest in radio or audio engineering.

These Scholarships are made possible thanks to the generosity of CBA supporters, which has given another stellar cohort of young Christians a boost as they embark on a career shaping our national conversations. •

Caitlin Dufty

is from Blenheim and is hoping to study Journalism at Canterbury or Victoria University, with aspirations to become a news presenter.

Isaac Paul

is studying Radio at Ara Institute of Canterbury and is moving to Auckland to complete his broadcasting internship.

CBA Hillman Award winner

Makayla Wells

plans to study Journalism at AUT, loves following the news and hopes to become a foreign correspondent or news presenter.
