We updated Newstalk 33AD for 2017

Newstalk ZB newsreader Bernadine Oliver-Kerby voiced the headlines from the day of Jesus’ crucifixion on our fictitious station Newstalk 33AD.

Last Easter we produced a series of short bulletins transporting listeners 2,000 years back in time to the day of Jesus’ crucifixion.

Our fictitious radio station broadcasting the news of Jesus’ death was called Newstalk 33AD.

This year we updated the series and again played it throughout our Good Friday broadcast on Newstalk ZB.

Each short episode was broadcast every hour of the day from 7:30am to 4:30pm reporting in “real time” the events that would have taken place throughout the original Good Friday.

You can listen to the updated series below, or listen to more highlights from our Easter 2017 broadcasts by clicking here.

The premise of Newstalk 33AD was adapted from our multi-award-winning nativity radio play, Newstalk BC.
