Nicky Gumbel shares the true Christmas message with listeners
‘Why should people still be celebrating the birth of a baby born 2,000 years ago?’ Nicky Gumbel, a former lawyer, and now the Senior Vicar of one of England’s most vibrant churches, is well-qualified to answer this question. He’s one of the most influential men in modern Christianity, yet ‘humble, charming and chatty’ – perfect for our audience – and we’re thrilled to have him on our programme this Christmas.
CBA has just awarded three scholarships to a selection of outstanding young Christians currently studying broadcasting and media.
We’re thrilled to introduce Nathan King, our newest addition to the CBA team. Nathan has come on board to help create innovative radio content as part of our ‘Love It’ ministry.

Pio Terei joined Petra Bagust from 3pm-6pm Good Friday on Newstalk ZB. The show revolved around stories – in particular those powerful stories that set one’s moral compass and speak to the deeper questions of life.
Kicking off at noon on Good Friday, Frank Ritchie & Jax van Buuren used their 3 hours to encourage listeners to make the most of their long weekend. The show was able to range very naturally from practical topics like housework, tidying, and gardening to deeper themes like mental health, forgiveness and retreats.
From 9am til noon on Good Friday, Sam & Julia Bloore hosted an exploration into the historical impact of Jesus Christ. The show was inspired by Australian documentary series Jesus The Game Changer.
