Dedication Prayers
On Wednesday 22 October, 2025, Te Rongopai was dedicated to the work of God with a special service attended by many supporters of CBA. Very early in CBA’s history, its founder, Jim Frankham, instituted “The Five P’s”. These guide CBA’s priorities, set the agenda for every board meeting and inspired our prayers:
Prayer – is always our first priority.
People – come before programmes and money.
Programmes – it’s what we’re about - the mission.
Processes – are vital to ensure a well-run ministry.
Providence - we rely on God’s provision.
Place - a special prayer over Te Rongopai.
As you read, please join us in praying for God’s blessing on this building and all who work and visit here.

Father,
Thank You for dwelling here with us right now. Despite our change of address, You have not changed.
As the excitement of this new chapter ignites fresh ideas, plans, and work, may we always remember to pause and connect with You… not just simply to stop, but to encounter You.
As in Psalm 139: may prayer be our first and last action — hemming us in before and behind, as You lay Your hand of blessing on all our ministries.
Your word also encourages us to pray without ceasing and to give thanks in all circumstances. May this truth infuse everything we do.
Lord, may we never forget to thank You and to return with hearts full of gratitude for all You have done, all You are doing, and all You have planned for our future. May thankfulness radiate from this place, transforming the way we work and serve You.
Father, grow within us a deeper hunger for prayer, and reveal new ways to bathe this place and every initiative in prayer both privately and publicly.
Teach us to seek first Your Kingdom and to walk in obedience to Your word. We know that “unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labour in vain.” Lead us by Your Spirit, Lord. Gently show us the areas we might be missing, and direct us into alignment with You.
We ask that this space be one where prayer and submission to Your purposes, Your guidance, and direction always remain our first instinct.
Father, may prayer hem us in… before and behind.
Amen

Dear God,
Form us into a people wholly committed to You.
Would all those connected to CBA have a deep awareness of Your invitation to make disciples of all nations – and be motivated by the privilege and challenge to share Your love in fresh ways with those who haven’t yet encountered Your love.
Would You attract and retain quality people to CBA – people eager to see ‘Your Kingdom come’ through CBA’s work; skilled, hard-working, creative people right across our ministry.
Give all those who work at CBA a joyous heart, and bring harmony, synergy and energy to our interactions.
Bestow on our leaders the aptitude and discernment to govern well, to make wise decisions that sustain CBA and the ongoing impact of its work.
Bless all those who come into contact with CBA and its staff. Would they feel seen and appreciated, and be drawn into our mission.
Bless too our relationships with all those who work in media – with news organisations, radio stations, and other media outlets. Give us favour with those who can open the door to new opportunities.
For our supporters, we pray You would bless them for their generosity. Grant them a sense of excitement to participate in the work of bringing people closer to You.
For our audience, prepare their hearts and minds to receive the Good News. Till the soil so that they might be ready for a seed of faith to be planted. Speak life to them through our programmes.
Lord, make us salt and light in this world, we pray.
Amen

Lord,
We bring before You all the programmes of CBA - the radio shows and podcasts, and also the support & networking of Salt and Media Chaplaincy and the offering of Christian voices into our public square under the banner of xvox.
You have been in all of this work over the decades of CBA’s ministry.
We thank You for this mahi, the privilege of serving our listeners, readers and clients, and the delight and satisfaction that we find in this work.
Looking back, we see Your hand of provision in strategic partnerships that have been forged and cemented over decades, between those of faith and those open to our message. We see Your fingerprints all over the strategy, the opportunities and the growth of our mission into new and exciting initiatives as You, Holy Spirit, have taught, guided, and illuminated how we can best fulfil the mission of CBA that You have commissioned.
We thank You that You are a creative God and that we, made in Your image, can experience some taste of Your creativity in the way that we tackle our work.
We thank You for Your Gospel. Te Rongopai.
When we were lost, You searched for us. Help us to seek out our audiences in love.
When we were broken, You came to be with us. Give us wisdom to exercise our ministry-of-presence in the midst of Aotearoa’s media industry.
May this work be a blessing to all who encounter it.
We offer it in service to You in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Amen

Dear Lord Jesus,
Make us an organisation of high integrity.
Make us excellent stewards of the time, talents and resources gifted to us by You.
May we be an exemplar of efficiency, where our priorities are Kingdom priorities – reflecting those that are important to Your heart – where the fruit of Your Spirit are infused in good policies and practices.
We pray for strong leadership, good management, safe practices, and may all the wheels of administration - accounting, receipting, auditing, databases, IT, long term plans, reporting – may they all work efficiently, so that we are good stewards of the gifts You give us, to advance the cause of Christ – and see Your love, joy, hope and healing shared throughout this country.
Bless each of these desks, the meeting rooms, and studios - and as we begin to hire them out commercially, give us discernment, wisdom and a generous spirit.
Above all, help us to hold the mission front and centre, to share the heart of the Christian faith, and keep a vision of a nation where everyone knows that the God we serve is a good and loving God.
We ask that You make us a people with our arms open wide ready to bless, love and serve all who enter our doors and connect with CBA.
We ask these things in Your good and powerful name,
Amen

Loving and faithful God,
Today we pause to say thank You.
Thank You for Your incredible provision - for this new space that stands as a living sign of Your goodness.
Thank You for 56 years of faithfulness - every season, every broadcast, every prayer answered in ways seen and unseen.
And thank You for the donors, the friends, and the faithful givers whose generosity has made this place possible.Lord, You have provided so much already — and we give You all the glory.
But we know the work isn’t finished.
So we ask boldly: continue to provide.Provide the remaining funds we need.
Provide committed people who will give, who will serve, and who will help carry this vision forward.
Provide creativity, wisdom, and strength for all who work here.
We ask, too, that this space would be more than walls and windows -
that it would be a place where Your Spirit dwells, where ideas are born that bring light into dark places,
where everyone who enters senses peace, purpose, and welcome. And finally, Lord, for those who give -
bless them with joy, with abundance, and with the deep satisfaction of knowing they are part of Your story of provision. All that we have comes from You,
and all that we build, we dedicate back to You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen. -
O God, our Creator, whose presence fills the heavens and the earth, we stand in this place of work – here in Te Rongopai; a building of steel, and bricks, and glass, and human hands. We acknowledge Your sacred presence that gives it soul.
Holy Spirit, further consecrate every space, from the first step to the last.
The entranceway, the threshold between the world outside and the work within. Bless the coming in and the going out.
We dedicate the stairwell that leads us up, the passage of ascent. Protect every step taken. May its vertical space remind us to lift our hearts to You, to rise above grievance and thinking that stifles Your creativity.
We hallow the lobby, the first room of welcome. May Your Spirit of manaakitanga rest here. Let every guest be greeted with dignity and warmth. May it be a place where no one feels invisible.
We anoint the shared office space, where many work side-by-side. In the midst of phones and keyboards, may the hum of diligence and creativity be a song of service to You, and may collaboration here bring forth Your fruit.
We bless the individual offices. Grant wisdom and discernment to those who work in them. Provide clarity for decisions, patience for problems, and integrity in all dealings.
We consecrate the lounge and kitchen, a space of community and rest. Bless the kai that is shared, and the conversations that are held there. Renew the weary spirit. May its common ground build bonds of friendship and support.
We dedicate the meeting room. We welcome Your Spirit of counsel to preside. May good ideas be heard, and may unity be found.
We pray over the two recording studios. Anoint and protect the equipment. May every word spoken and every image recorded carry Your truth, Your beauty, and Your grace. Let the messages created bring encouragement and light to all who hear them; may they convey the heart of the Christian faith.
And finally, Lord, we bless even the bathrooms. We thank You for clean water, for a moment of quiet, for the dignity of human need. Make it a simple space of peace and refreshment.
Lord, from the entrance, to the studios, from the open floor to the quiet offices, we dedicate these rooms to You. Knit them all together as one place, under Your authority. Let this be more than an office; let it be a testament to Your goodness, where work becomes worship.
In the strong name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
